‘There should be a place for everything & Everything should be in its place’

3D Rescue

I wake up snoozed and warned by my alarm. To my surprise there is blizzard and the creek in my window is buzzing and whistling as if it is announcing the capture of a memory, capture of sounds, capture of a moment and cancellation of classes of course.

I groped my gear, grabbed my sweats and my large and worthy handcrafted contraption. For a second I pause and admire the majestic and capable black beauty, appalled by its curvature, grip and wondering how to capture the moment with sincerity and empathy.

I rushed out and took shelter behind a little cove on the side of my patio and there I was dodging the flake shower and shielded my camera from the lethal moisture. I nursed and nurtured the black beauty and observing angles and making sure the background had been cropped carefully by my vision and through the rectangular viewfinder. There I was strategically placing my body trying to satisfy my vision of a perfect picture, wrestling with nature, but appreciating it at the same time. The recurring sounds of the shutter and the clash of several moments, trying there best to keep up with the command of the brain. Just when the mind is satisfied it sends a current to the fingertip and there, a moment is recorded in history.

Recording history, excites me. Fills me with a sense of passion and reminds me the importance of moments. I think of myself as abnormal but whenever I am looking at things and pondering about my weekend plans, I feel dragged into the cosmos of imagery and philosophy where images start calling out my name as if they were imprisoned in frames, just waiting to go through the lens and nestle on my photographic sensor.

This obsession, passion, desire is indeed a pleasure that provides satisfaction and rescuing three dimensional pieces of the world and providing them refuge and meaning in your memory lane.
